Mahjong originates from China, but the first mahjong museum is located in Japan. It is located in a tour resort, a five minutes’ walk from the sea. Most Chinese reporters stationed in Japan had been there.
This mahjong museum was founded by a man name Kyoichiro Noguchi. More than ten thousand people visited mahjong museum since its establishment in 1999. Mahjong museum is a two-floor building; it has more than ten thousand mahjong books from China, Japan and Europe, all kinds of mahjong sets, tables and equipment.
The most valuable mahjong set in museum is mahjong set used by the last emperor Puyi of China.
